The revamped Safari Chef 30 HP BBQ is all about smart, stylish camping cooking—now 24% more compact than before! Weighing under 4.5kg, it’s the perfect lightweight sidekick for your outdoor adventures. Swap between cooking surfaces like the ceramic GreenGrill BBQ Grid, Flat Grill Plate, and enamelled Dome Lid that doubles as a pot. The Cadac Safari Chef HP operates off the CADAC 500g EN417 threaded gas cartridge (not included) or any other EN417 threaded gas cartridge which fits directly into the BBQ.

 

HP means High Pressure and a HP barbecue works directly off a gas cartridge. Low Pressure (LP) barbecues work off a gas cylinder or Power Pak and can be connected with a regulator & hose.

What is the difference between the "HP" (High Pressure) and "LP" (Low Pressure) models?
The Safari Chef 30 HP Deluxe (High Pressure) is designed to be used with a small, disposable EN417 threaded gas cartridge. It connects directly to the cartridge, meaning you don't need a separate regulator or hose. The LP (Low Pressure) version is for use with a larger, refillable gas cylinder and requires a hose and regulator. The HP version is more compact and convenient for short trips, while the LP version is better for longer stays where you need a larger fuel source

How do I clean the cooking surfaces?
The Safari Chef 30 Deluxe comes with GreenGrill ceramic-coated cooking surfaces. These are non-stick and very easy to clean. After use and once the surfaces have cooled down, you can simply wash them with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils as these can damage the coating. The fat pan is also removable for easy cleaning.

What accessories are included with the BBQ?
The Safari Chef 30 HP Deluxe comes with four interchangeable cooking surfaces: a pot stand, a ribbed BBQ grid, a flat grill plate, and a lid that also doubles as a cooking pot. It also includes a convenient carry bag for easy transport and storage.
