Outwell Casilda Moon Chair

Padded moon-chair comfort in the standard Casilda size

The Outwell Casilda Moon Chair is a folding camping chair with a rounded, padded seat and backrest, black polyester fabric and a powder-coated steel frame. Its wraparound shape offers an alternative to an upright camping chair for relaxed campsite seating, caravan holidays and time in the garden.

This is the standard Casilda, not the Casilda XL. It has a 35cm seat height, a listed weight of 4.5kg and a maximum load of 120kg. A carry bag is included, and no assembly is required.

Why choose the standard Casilda?

• Padded seat and backrest: cushioning within a rounded moon-chair shape.
• Folding steel frame: opens and folds in seconds, with no assembly required.
• 35cm seat height: a lower seating position to compare with a chair you already find comfortable.
• 100% polyester fabric: black fabric with subtle logo detailing.
• Carry bag included: for transport and storage between trips.
• 120kg maximum load: follow the supplied setup and loading instructions.

Is this the right camping chair for you?

Choose the Casilda if you prefer a padded, wraparound shape for relaxing beside your tent, caravan or campervan. Compare its 35cm seat height with familiar seating, especially if getting in and out of lower chairs is important. Comfort and ease of use depend on the individual; a moon-chair shape is not a guarantee of a suitable fit.

For Cornwall campsite holidays and wider UK touring, check its 85cm packed length against your car boot or storage locker. At 4.5kg, this is better shortlisted for trips where your vehicle is nearby than for carrying long distances when a low weight is the priority.

The 76cm open width is an overall chair measurement, not a separately verified internal seat width. For campsite meals, compare the seat height and chair shape with your table rather than assuming it suits every dining setup.

Standard Casilda vs Casilda XL

The standard Casilda measures 76cm wide × 49cm deep × 73cm high, with a 35cm seat height, 4.5kg weight and 120kg maximum load. The Casilda XL Moon Chair is a separate, larger model: 104cm wide × 63cm deep × 90cm high, with a 40cm seat height, 6.2kg weight and 150kg maximum load.

Choose by the space, seating position and loading requirements you need, not the XL name alone. Do not apply the XL's 150kg capacity to this standard chair. Check each listing for current price and availability.

Use and care

Fully unfold the chair and use it on suitable firm, level ground, following Outwell's instructions. Stay within the 120kg maximum load and keep the chair away from flames, sparks and other heat sources.

Do not assume outdoor use means it can remain outside permanently. Follow the manufacturer's cleaning and storage guidance, protect it from unsuitable weather and dry it before packing away.
