New for 2027: Vango Cove Pro Air Low Drive-Away Awning

Damian Rowe |

Get ready for the 2027 camping season with the new Vango Cove Pro Air Low drive-away awning, available to pre-order from World of Camping, with stock arriving soon.

An upgrade to the standard Cove Air Low, the Pro combines improved Dynamic Pro fabric with a front door that lets you close off the canopy area. Its inflatable AirBeam® frame and drive-away design make it an option for campervan owners planning extra living space for next season.

The Low model fits vehicle attachment heights of 180–210cm. Check your actual attachment point and connection method before ordering.

What is upgraded on the Cove Pro Air Low?

Compared with the standard Vango Cove III Low Air Drive Away Awning 2026, the Pro introduces two key upgrades: improved fabric and a closable front canopy.

Improved Dynamic Pro fabric

The standard Cove III uses Sentinel Active 150D fabric with a 4,000mm hydrostatic-head rating. The Cove Pro Air Low uses Dynamic Pro fabric with a higher 6,000mm hydrostatic-head rating, giving you an upgraded material specification for your camping setup.

The rating describes the fabric's resistance to water pressure; it is not a guarantee of performance in every weather condition. Correct pitching, ventilation and following Vango's weather and care guidance remain important. Condensation can still form inside an awning.

A front door to close off the canopy

The Pro adds a front door that allows the canopy area to be zipped shut for a more enclosed, sheltered space. This is different from the standard Cove III's existing main front door: the upgrade is the ability to close off the front canopy area rather than leaving it open.

If you want a more adaptable space beside your campervan, this is a useful difference to consider when choosing between the standard Cove and the new Pro.

Extra living space for your campervan holidays

Whether you are planning spring weekends in Cornwall or a longer UK touring holiday, an awning gives you room to spread out beyond the van. Use the extra space for relaxing or organising camping equipment while keeping your vehicle's interior less cluttered.

The Cove Pro Air Low's roll-away tunnel lets you detach your campervan and leave the awning standing as your campsite base. Head out for the day, then return without having packed the whole awning away. Follow the supplied instructions for detaching, securing and reconnecting it.

AirBeam® construction with a manual pump included

The inflatable AirBeam® structure is designed for quick pitching. A manual AirBeam® pump is included, so an electric pump is not required to inflate it.

An electric pump is available separately as an optional extra. Check compatibility before choosing one. Positioning, pegging and tensioning the awning correctly are still essential, so follow the manufacturer's pitching instructions.

Will the Cove Pro Air Low fit your campervan?

The confirmed attachment-height range is 180–210cm. Measure from the ground to the point where the awning will connect, with your campervan parked as it would be on site. Do not use the vehicle's overall roof height instead.

Also check the connection system, available attachment length and clearance for doors or fitted accessories. Being within the height range does not by itself confirm compatibility. Do not assume a particular drive-away fitting kit is included.

Contact World of Camping with your vehicle details, measured attachment height and information about your awning rail or connection point if you need help checking the fit.

Standard Cove Air Low or Cove Pro Air Low?

The standard Cove III Low Air 2026 is worth comparing if you want an inflatable drive-away awning with a pre-attached open front canopy. Its listed fabric is Sentinel Active 150D with a 4,000mm hydrostatic-head rating.

The Cove Pro Air Low is the upgrade to consider if Dynamic Pro fabric with a 6,000mm rating and the ability to close off the canopy area are priorities for your next setup.

Both models have a Low attachment-height range of 180–210cm. Compare each model's current price, full dimensions, packed size, weight and package contents before deciding. Do not assume that other specifications or accessories are identical.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Vango Cove Pro Air Low?

It is an inflatable drive-away campervan awning with AirBeam® construction, Dynamic Pro fabric and a closable front canopy. The Low model fits attachment heights of 180–210cm. It is listed at World of Camping as the Vango Cove Air Pro Low Drive Away Awning.

How is the Pro different from the standard Cove Air Low?

The Pro upgrades the standard Cove III's Sentinel Active 150D fabric, rated at 4,000mm hydrostatic head, to Dynamic Pro fabric rated at 6,000mm. It also adds a front door to close off the canopy area for more shelter.

Does the standard Cove Air Low already have a front door?

Yes. The standard Cove III has a main front door. The Pro's additional feature is a front closure for the canopy area, allowing that area to be zipped shut.

Can I pre-order the Cove Pro Air Low for 2027?

Yes. It is available to pre-order from World of Camping, with stock arriving soon for the 2027 season. Check the product page or contact our team for the latest expected arrival and dispatch information. Pre-order stock is not the same as stock ready for immediate dispatch.

What campervan attachment height does it fit?

The Low model fits attachment heights between 180cm and 210cm. Measure to your actual connection point and check your attachment system before ordering.

Can I drive away and leave it standing?

Yes. The roll-away tunnel lets you detach your vehicle and leave the awning standing, following the manufacturer's instructions.

Does it come with a pump?

A manual AirBeam® pump is included. An electric pump is an optional extra sold separately.

Do I need a separate drive-away fitting kit?

That depends on your vehicle's attachment system. Confirm the connection requirements and package contents before ordering rather than assuming a particular fitting kit is included.
