Outdoor Revolution Porchlite Air 260, 330 or 390: Caravan Awning Buying Guide

Damian Rowe |

The Outdoor Revolution Porchlite Air range offers inflatable caravan porch awnings in 260, 330 and 390 models. The confirmed Porchlite Air 330 dimensions are 330cm long × 240cm deep, at 11.6kg. The 390 is 390cm long × 240cm deep, at 12.8kg. Both are specified for touring use.

The 390 is therefore 60cm longer along the listed length and 1.2kg heavier than the 330, with the same listed depth. Choose according to your caravan connection, furniture layout, pitch and storage needs rather than assuming the larger model is always better.

This guide from World of Camping in Cornwall explains the differences we can confirm and the fitting checks to complete before choosing. The 260's dimensions and weight remain unconfirmed here and should not be inferred from its model name.

330 or 390: which should you choose?

Start with the 330 if its 330 × 240cm dimensions accommodate your setup and you prefer the lower 11.6kg weight. Consider the 390 if you need the additional 60cm of length, your caravan and pitch accommodate it, and the 12.8kg pack suits your handling needs.

Plan the furniture you actually use and leave clear routes through the doors. Neither size establishes a guaranteed seating capacity. Check the caravan side before choosing: useful living space still needs a suitable connection without compromising doors, hatches or required ventilation.

What do the three Porchlite Air models share?

How to check fit on your caravan

  1. Confirm the exact model's attachment-height range and measure your caravan's awning connection point.
  2. Check the required straight rail length against the usable section on your caravan.
  3. Identify the required bead size. Twin 4mm and 6mm beading provides connection options, not universal compatibility.
  4. Check doors, windows, vents and access hatches against the positions of the awning sides and rear pads.
  5. Allow room for the awning, guylines and access on the pitch.
  6. Confirm the full packed dimensions and compare them with the locker opening and usable storage space.

The 330 and 390 weights are confirmed above, but packed measurements and attachment heights remain to be confirmed. Do not substitute specifications from another model or infer fit from a caravan badge alone.

Inflatable construction, with roof spreader rods

The Oxygen Air Frame uses Boston inflation valves. Fibreglass roof spreader rods are also specified, so inflatable does not mean there are no poles involved in setup.

A pump is included. Follow the correct inflation pressure, valve instructions and pitching sequence in the supplied manual. Pegging and guyline adjustment remain part of the process; an air frame does not remove the need to secure the awning correctly.

The confirmed 330 and 390 specifications include adjustable guying and adjustable webbing pegging systems. Use these according to the instructions and ground conditions.

Windows, airflow and privacy

Zip-back side doors provide access, while the left-door mesh panel and rear corner vents support ventilation. Tinted windows bring in light and toggle-up blinds provide privacy. The supplied 330 and 390 specifications identify tinted PVC windows and upper rear vents on both sides.

Ventilating the space and managing damp kit help make UK touring more comfortable. Ventilation can reduce moisture build-up but does not guarantee a condensation-free interior.

Can the front panel become a canopy?

Yes. The front panel can be converted into a canopy using suitable optional poles. These poles are not included as standard. Confirm the correct specification and setup requirements before ordering.

For the 330 and 390, the rear pad system also offers optional pad poles and suction fixings. Check suitability for your caravan surface and follow the manufacturer's fitting instructions.

What is included?

All three product descriptions specify a pump, draught skirt, peg set and carry bag. The confirmed 330 and 390 contents also include a roof stretcher pole with bracket pad.

Canopy poles, optional pad poles and suction fixings are separate additions. Confirm the full contents list for the exact model, particularly the 260, and do not assume a carpet, liner or extra room is included.

Fabric and care for touring use

Tensile Active Ripstop fabric has a listed 4,000mm waterproof rating. This is not a guarantee of suitability for every forecast or permanent outdoor exposure. Follow the pitching and care instructions and make sensible decisions about weather conditions.

The 330 and 390 are specified for touring holidays rather than long-term seasonal pitching. Keep required caravan ventilation clear, use suitable securing equipment for the ground, and clean and dry the awning before extended storage.

Will twin 4mm and 6mm beading fit my caravan?

It provides two bead-size options, but fit also depends on attachment height, usable rail length and caravan layout. Confirm all of those before ordering.
