The Go System Dynasty Portable Gas Heater with ODS (£38.99) is a compact portable gas heater offering directional warmth for suitable outdoor settings such as camping and fishing, with a stated 2,000W ceramic burner, piezo auto-start ignition, and a set of built-in safety features including an oxygen depletion sensor (ODS), anti-tilt shut-off and flameout protection. It runs from a click-in bayonet gas cartridge, so there is no hose or regulator to set up.
Here is a closer look at what it offers, how long a cartridge lasts, and where it fits in a home emergency kit.
Heat output and run time
The Dynasty uses a ceramic burner with bi-directional heat and a stated output of 2,000W, lit by a piezo auto-start ignition, so there are no matches or lighters to hunt for in the dark. Gas consumption is listed at 150g per hour, giving approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of continuous use per cartridge (manufacturer-stated). It takes a Go System G2220 bayonet gas cartridge, sold separately; the Go System 220g gas canister four-pack (£6.99) is the compatible option we stock.
Safety features
Any appliance that burns gas produces carbon monoxide, so safety design matters. The Dynasty includes an oxygen depletion sensor that shuts the heater down if oxygen levels drop, an anti-tilt shut-off switch if it is knocked over, and flameout protection if the flame goes out. These features add protection, but they do not replace ventilation or the manufacturer's instructions: always use any gas appliance with adequate ventilation, keep it away from anything flammable, never leave it unattended while lit, and fit a carbon monoxide alarm where it is used.
Part of a home emergency kit
The heater is one of the four items in our Emergency Camping Bundle, alongside the Dynasty Compact II stove, a four-pack of gas canisters and a Liberty whistling kettle. Our guide to building a home emergency kit for power cuts explains how the pieces work together. Any use of a gas appliance during a power cut must follow the manufacturer's instructions, with adequate ventilation and a working carbon monoxide alarm.
Why it sells out fast
The Dynasty heater is priced at £38.99 and proves very popular whenever cold weather or storms are forecast, so stock moves quickly. If it shows as out of stock when you visit, get in touch and we will let you know when more are due.

Frequently asked questions
How much heat does the Go System Dynasty heater give out?
It has a stated output of 2,000W from a ceramic burner with bi-directional heat, which is directional warmth suited to small, well-ventilated spaces such as tents, awnings and fishing shelters when used as the manufacturer intends.
How long does one gas cartridge last in the Dynasty heater?
Gas consumption is listed at 150g per hour, giving approximately 1 hour 30 minutes of continuous burn time per 220g cartridge (manufacturer-stated). Keeping a spare four-pack of cartridges is a sensible idea.
What gas does the Go System Dynasty heater take?
It takes a click-in Go System G2220 bayonet gas cartridge, sold separately. The Go System 220g four-pack is the compatible cartridge we stock.
Is the Go System Dynasty heater safe to use?
It includes an oxygen depletion sensor, anti-tilt shut-off and flameout protection, but no safety feature replaces following the manufacturer's instructions. Always use it with adequate ventilation, keep it clear of flammable materials, never leave it unattended, and fit a carbon monoxide alarm where it is used.
Is the Dynasty heater in stock at World of Camping?
