Portable Gas Heaters

This time of year whilst we prepare our website with all of the exciting new Tents and Awnings ( many of which are available to pre-order now for all you keen campers out there)  that will be coming out over the course of January and February next year, here in World of Camping HQ we’re keeping the cold winter air out with our favourite Provence 3KW gas heater

It operates off a 7kg or 15kg butane cylinder, and will keep going for over 100 hours (depending on the heat setting) using a 15kg Calor Gas Bottle. Check it out on the video here….

As well as being an attractive portable heater, the Provence offers an alternative to having the central heating on, especially those times when there’s only one of you at home or you only want to heat one room. Portable gas bottle heating allows you to avoid the standing charges and variable rates associated with mains gas and electric. A 15kg gas bottle from your local garage forecourt will cost around £35 to refill, so having paid upfront you know exactly what your costs are – saving the worry of an astronomical quarterly bill.

  • No flue or chimney required
  • Solid cast iron
  • Real flame gas fire
  • Safety oxygen depletion cut-off device
  • Fitted with 4 castor wheels

The Provence is fitted with 4 castor wheels, so despite giving the heater being solid cast Iron and reassuringly heavy, it’s also very easily transportable and actually sits just off the ground to be easily wheeled from room to room. Perfect for a living room, kitchen or conservatory.

Another great feature of the fire is the oxygen depletion cut off device. So if the room is becoming a little low on oxygen the heater will cut out automatically. For peace of mind though, we always recommend using a carbon monoxide alarm in conjunction with your gas heater and to keep the room ventilated at all times.

The recommended minimum room size to use one of these is 64m3 which roughly equates to a room 6m x 4.5m x 2.5m high

These heaters are currently available in the ever popular Matt Black, with Blue being an alternative options.
