Folds easily. Love the grill effect and quality of the step good. Unfortunately very very unstable. It tips very easily unless you step right in the middle and straight down on it. Therefore not ideal for motorhome use. First day of use it tipped twice even though level with spirit level and we weigh less than 84 kg each. Go for a different step we will not be using this again
