With so many different materials used for making cups and mugs, it can sometimes be hard to know what they are like without touching and feeling the material. So we have created a guide explaining the pros and the cons of each material!

Enamel

Melamine
Melamine is a manmade chemical based material that has been used in kitchen accessories for over 20 years. Melamine is a popular camping material due to its lightweight and affordable price tag. In hand, melamine feels abit like a brittle plastic but is far from that. It has a great weight to strength ratio and is very hardwaring!
Bamboo
Bamboo is a natural growing biodegradable material and is now being used to manufacture kitchen accessories such as plates, bowls and cups. China
China is probably the worst material of cup/ mug to use whilst camping as china is heavier and alot more brittle than other options. However a china mug would be perfect for home use! We currently have a large range of china mugs in stock with designs from Volkswagen! Prices start from £3.50.
Tin
Tin mugs are a great idea for camping, they are lightweight and extremely hardwaring! We currently stock designs from Volkswagen that feature the iconic image of the classic VW campervan. The only downfall with a tin camping mug is that the outside of the mug will become very hot if it contains a hot drink!
